What is ArgusVision

Most CCTV is recorded and never watched. ArgusVision watches it for you: a fire exit that must stay clear, a bay that is reserved, a door that stays shut after hours. When a rule breaks, the right person hears about it, with the clip.

How it works

Plugs into what you have.

A small box on your network reads your cameras. Only events leave the building.

Your site

Your camerasExisting CCTV or NVR, over RTSP.
Edge boxKeeps a short rolling buffer and runs detection on site.

EventThe clip, the rule broken, the context.
AlertTo the right person.
Cameras on your site stream to the ArgusVision edge box over your local network. The box sends only events and clips out over port 443 to the ArgusVision cloud, where rule packs turn them into events and alert the right person.

Questions

Do we need new cameras?

No. Any camera or NVR with an RTSP stream (H.264 or H.265) works.

Does video leave our site?

Only clips and keyframes of an event. Continuous video stays on the edge box and rolls over.

Firewall ports or VPN?

Neither. The box only makes outbound connections on port 443.
